Hosting is a form of family-based care for orphans and at-risk children and youth run by nonprofits in Israel. The children live and study at a boarding school but stay with their host family on holidays and alternating weekends for at least a year. Host families provide consistency and encouragement to these children and strengthen their self-esteem. All host families are supported by a professional social worker.
